Birth in Bahrain

This is a personal note for the record. I'd just like to get this down in type. I've got a friend who is sitting with her sister in law right now in the very 'modern city of Manama, Bahrain', in a hospital waiting room. The young woman has gone into labour and my friend is holding her hand as she prepares to give birth to a beautiful new life; what everyone ordinarily would take for granted will be a bouncing and healthy baby boy or girl. But - the room has tendrils of tear gas reaching its filthy toxic fingers through the vents and under the door, and so not only has this child already been polluted by the fumes its mother has absorbed through her bloodstream and across the placenta into the most intimate and private first dwelling place we know of as 'The Womb' - but it will be greeted by the stench of Tear Gas as it gasps and fills its lungs to take its virgin breath............... its 'birth cry' will be a choke. And the Grand Prix, AlKhalifa Dictators, F1 Opportunists/Promoters - are meanwhile actually debating whether or not to go ahead and spin some cars around a track for the jollies and pockets of a privileged few. HELLO???? EXCUUUUUUUUUSE ME??????? SERIOUSLY???? HOW F**KING DARE THEY! Come ON People! Angry, Exasperated, Utterly Disgusted.
